(More customer reviews)very pleased with this recent arrival. finish is flawless, heft is good and nicely balanced, and neck is thick in the j bass style with the much preferred maple fretboard. pups produce a nice variety of tones, especially using the neck side pumping out loads of rich bottom. action is outstanding- had to raise the g just slightly to elimate some buzz but that's it. no sunburst on the back but who cares? strings are d'addario round wounds, pick-ups are passive like i like it, and neck is absolutely straight. made in china, not korea like earlier models. couldn't ask for more in this price range (not a return or second).

(More customer reviews)I don't think I've ever purchased a bass that was perfectly tuned and set up right out of the box. Amazing! The workmanship is excellent with no noticeable flaws. Intonation is perfect. Fret, string, and bridge height is perfect. I can honestly say I would change nothing with the set up. the neck is thin and fast, though the headstock bumps my hands on "F" notes on the 1st string. (Probably my bad technique more than a bass flaw). The active electronics produce a range from punchy funk to mellow ballads. When pushed, she puts out a mild distorted sound with everything on "11". Great color. Great bass. Great price. If you are on the fence, buy this bass. If your experience was anything like mine, you won't be sorry.
