(More customer reviews)this is the one of the best basses in this price range that you can buy. period. great construction and quality. double ball tuning sytstem is awesome. the looks take a little getting used to, but once you do its awesome. the dual emg humbuckers are great. u can get whatever sound u want, from real punchy to mellow tones. the leg rest is kinda useless, and the gig bag provided isnt the best, so if you are going to carry it around i suggest you just use a normal bass gig bag...it works perfectly fine.

When I got the guitar, it was a mess...
It was an open box, fingerprints and smudges all over it.
Obviously, it was a re-boxed return.
And I supposedly bought a "new" guitar.
I can't express how ticked off I was.
I'm sure you would too ...
This is the work of the seller.
But this is just the beginning of the story.
I called and got a RMA number for the return.
It costed $50 to return a "used" guitar sold as "new".
After a month, I noticed that my credit card was not credited for the purchase.
Called and after waiting on the line for a long time and going over hoops, finally got the return.
Wouldn't you expect that once they got the guitar they would credit your card?
Not with this seller.
This seller is not musician's friend, but is musician's biggest nightmare.
Hope nobody gets another one.

(More customer reviews)Over the past several decades I have owned lots of basses, including some very expensive ones (Sadowsky PJ5 and Lakland 55/94 fretless). None were set up or executed any better than this Squier CV Jazz.
I always do my own setups, so as soon as I received this one I went through it... everything was already set as I like it except the string height, which took only a slight adjustment to get to my preferred setting.
This is really a superb value. Get past the name on the headstock and try one, you'll buy it.

ESP LTD AX50 Electric Guitar (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I usually play BC Rich or Jackson, but after seeing this guitar in a pawn shop for a reasonable price, I could not resist it. Let me say this here and now, the action on this guitar is pure perfection. From the 1st fret to the 25th you can do it all. Those really hard solos that go down to the 23rd and 24th frets are so much easier now that I have been playing this.
The strings are strung through the back of the body and run over a solid bridge. This is the first guitar I've had like this, but these 'rear loaders' make the guitar feel very stable and sturdy. There are no locking nuts on the top neck nut, but this guitar stays in tune without any locking at all.
The 12th fret is marked 'AX50' in a little rectangle, the rest of the inlays are standard dots.
I would recommend this guitar to anybody, from a beginner to a pro, this axe is THE BOMB!

Definitely worth the price. It came well set-up and included a Daisy Rock gig bag. (The bag is not the most padded bag out there, but is adequate - and free!) Just using my little Danelectro Honeytone mini ampDanelectro Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp, Black it sounds excellent. Beautiful clear tones and chunky raw tones - truly a wide sonic range.

(More customer reviews)I was looking to make the jump from a 4 string to a 5 string, without breaking the bank; this bass fit the bill. As with any stringed instrument, getting the right strings (personal preference), and adjusting accordingly, makes it all the more 'your' instrument. Drop the bass off w/ a professional if you are not comfortable adjusting an instrument yourself, its usually never costly(~$40 around my area), unless something is way wrong to begin with.
Having had the bass for awhile now, I must say I'm impressed in the quality for this price. Incredibly nice to play, many tonal options, and the awesome low end 'B'.

It does NOT have a Duncan P-90 as it states in the description, it just has three regular output single humbuckers. The only thing I'm not sure I'm in love with on this guitar is the black (not shiny silver) chrome hardware and the heart pickguard. Well, I do have this one and I love it -- but I'm planning to upgrade the humbuckers and maybe also the pickguard. It sounds great as is, but I want it to be a little louder.

Dean Edge 8-String Bass, Active Electronics, Classic Black Review

(More customer reviews)So, I decided to buy an 8-string and learn how to play it, since I was already uver-used to playing the 4-string. You know,I wanted that high-end dominance that the 8-string provides.
This bass does all of that, and has active pickups to boot. Not that they are particularly the best active pickups (the battery dies out a little early for my tastes), but they get the job done - and can blast the hell out of a sound system with an impressive overdrive knob.
The tone is really good, by all means. Unlike the Schecter Stilletto 8, the first few frets don't buzz when you use them, and the thing maintains the octave-harmonics effect even when you use tapping or slapping effects. The strings feel really good on the fingers, and it's no problem to slide while keeping an even sound. The only problem I have is that, if one tries to use an octave string alone, it will not sound off as highly as the fat strings, which makes it a little less fun.
I would say that this is a worthwhile buy for those just starting on the 8-string, because it is reliable, has one of the best sound-qualities, and fits a good budget at $500.

Schecter Robin Finck Limited Edition Signature Model Electric Guitar - Red Nitro Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this guitar and I have to say that it is fantastic. It plays like butter! Plus the tone is very diverse. The duncan at the bridge has a very hot output, and the other duncan designed pickups sound great as well though not quite as hot. Each pickup has its own switch for single coil, humbucker, or off making the tonal options vast. The case it comes with is top notch as well. Plus, the Bigsby is a nice touch. The only thing this guitar doesn't have is a tone knob for each pickup, just one for over all tone and one volume, but you can't have everything.
For the price, you just can't beat this. It was up between this guitar and a Les Paul, and I just couldn't find a Les Paul for even 3 times the price that played better.
If you're mulling this one over, I say do it.

(More customer reviews)I don't think I've ever purchased a bass that was perfectly tuned and set up right out of the box. Amazing! The workmanship is excellent with no noticeable flaws. Intonation is perfect. Fret, string, and bridge height is perfect. I can honestly say I would change nothing with the set up. the neck is thin and fast, though the headstock bumps my hands on "F" notes on the 1st string. (Probably my bad technique more than a bass flaw). The active electronics produce a range from punchy funk to mellow ballads. When pushed, she puts out a mild distorted sound with everything on "11". Great color. Great bass. Great price. If you are on the fence, buy this bass. If your experience was anything like mine, you won't be sorry.

Tha RBX375 has the action like a top end four string bass. You would'nt even know your playing a five string bass, except for the extra low notes. I would play this bass on the most important of gigs; and I've played some big ones. The Bass Has a warm clean sound and, with the active electronics, can provide the funkiest of pop sounds.
