NEW PRO BLACK ASH FAT STRAT TYPE HSS ELECTRIC GUITAR Review

NEW PRO BLACK ASH FAT STRAT TYPE HSS ELECTRIC GUITAR
Average Reviews:

I am in my late 40's so you know what generation I rocked to and with. I have a fender Jap strat, a BB King Lucille, A Squire M70, an Ibanex Artist (1970's), and have had several Gibson Les Pauls, and I forgot to mention a fender Duo Sonic II (1960's) and a Guild electric. THIS FAT STRAT FROM jOHNSON PURE ROCKS. The humbucker and 2 single coil configuration make it a vicious screaming machine. The neck is true, the action is low and I haven't been able to put this one down yet! Highly recommend for some pure FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Own it and played it many times. Been playing Strats over 40 years. Have 10 Strats including a MB. While the S1 gives a great boost for lead, the overall tone for the general guitar is moderate. Same for playability, no better than regular Strats, AM or MIM. Definitely Not any better than a $500 MIM Strat. It is indeed pretty, but playability and great Strat tone is what you are really after. The MIMs deliver the biggest bang for the buck best. Better to buy a MIM and save money. Note, there is no bad Fender Strat. Get one.

Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Electric Guitar, 3-Color Sunburst Rosewood Review

Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Electric Guitar, 3-Color Sunburst Rosewood
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I own a 2009 Fender American Deluxe Strat among several other guitars. This is by far the nicest guitar I've ever owned. Mine is 3-tone sunburst, and the finish is flawless. I searched carefully and couldn't find anything wrong with it. It's an absolutely beautiful guitar. As soon as I took it out of the box, I immediately plugged it in to give it a whirl. My wife was in the other room and said,"I didn't know you could play guitar that good!" This is after twenty years of listening to me play. The setup was perfect for me out of the box. I didn't need to adjust a thing. The frets are extremely smooth and comfortable for extended playing. The neck is narrow like most Strats, but it works perfectly for my small hands. The noiseless pickups are actually noiseless! There was none of the annoying hum I have with my cheaper Squier Strat's single coil pickups. With the S-1 switch, it has a lot of different pickup combinations that allow me to play in almost any style from country to blues to metal. I haven't even figured out what all it can do yet. I just know it can make a ton of different sounds.
I have nothing bad to say. This is an excellent guitar. It's a high end, professional guitar at a decent price. I recommend it highly.

In the newest evolutionary step for the American Deluxe Stratocaster electric guitar, it maintains its traditional look and feel while introducing upgrades that include three N3 Noiseless single-coil pickups that still produce their revered sparkle and snap andwith noiseless designno annoying hum. The S-1 switching system adds additional pickup combinations beyond those provided by a standard five-way switch including new combinations of series and parallel wiring for a dazzling array of tonal choice. The compound radius fretboard that modern guitarists demand ensures strings won't fret out even with extreme bending. Other improvements include the high-mass tremolo block that increases sustain; locking tuning keys; and a molded case with glass-reinforced latches and TSA locks. N3 Noiseless pickups N3 Noiseless pickups deliver the best of yesterday and today, because they deliver landmark vintage Fender tone and response without the hum that can plague single-coil pickups. Using an improved stacked coil-coil design, N3 Noiseless pickups are specially tailored for each Stratocaster and Telecaster pickup position. The insulated metal core of each pickup position type differs in thickness and composition for enhanced tone, and Fender has fine-tuned the sized, shape, and wire gauge of the coils to balance the magnetic responsiveness essential to great tone. N3 pickups represent a welcome return to the warmth and clarity of alnico magnets. An Alnico 5 magnet is used in the bridge position, Alnico 2 in the middle position, and Alnico 3 for the neck position.

The Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Strat is one of the fine guitars out there. Load with some heavy strings and you start to create the SRV sound. Fender Road Worn '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar, 2 Tone Sunburst Review

Fender Road Worn '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar, 2 Tone Sunburst
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I work and teach in several music stores and get my hands on a lot of Strats. When I saw the Roadworn strat I was extremely sceptical and could hardly wait to scoff and critisize it.
First I was impressed with it's authentic feeling light weight. When I plugged it in (without knowing what pick-ups it had) I heard a great Strat-y tone. The 10 gauge set of strings (higher than standard shelf-strat gauges but lighter than my usual 11-52 preference) gave it great snap and twang. All the specs seemed as good as any relic I've played and of course the look was there.
The price was my only concern, almost as much as a "real thing" American strat. But it felt and sounded GREAT! I reached an agreement with store and went for it. I've used it on many jobs and really like it. I have no regrets or dissappointments. I own more expensive Strats, including the Custom Shop 1954, but frankly don't want to take them to the rougher gigs. And I can't afford an actual 50's strat, which I would REALLY be scared to take to some of these jobs.
I like the look, feel, fun, and most of all TONE of this strat, and it's not irreplaceable. I was sceptical, but it won me over.

Few things in this world have gotten cooler with age than the Stratocaster®. Born in the '50s, they became even cooler after years of use (and abuse) on the road...morphing over time to look appealingly battered and feel even better than when they were brand-new. Fender's new maple-fretboard Road Worn '50s Strat® delivers that aged look and feel...built to look, sound and feel like it's got more than just a few miles on it, designed with 1950s specs, including a nitrocellulose-lacquer finish, and supercharged with Tex-Mex? pickups and 6105 frets.

G&L Tribute S-500 Guitar (Blueburst, Hard Rock Maple Neck) Review

GandL Tribute S-500 Guitar (Blueburst, Hard Rock Maple Neck)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
never mind all of the cheeseball stuff out there
everything about this guitar is very strong
except of course the gig bag.
you might want a solid case to hold this top of the line guitar
if only Jimi had lived to see one . . .
I am having a lot of heart-curing holding mine.
just found one in a pawn shop and even though I knew better, could not walk away
came back
I used to sit in the guitar shop loving a G&L F-1000 back when they first came out maybe a quarter century ago; and it was beautiful and truly a sound, like an oak tree crying. Biggest thing I had ever bought, I put it on lay-away at the shop. When I got the rest of my pennies together and went back for it, they had sold it to someone else, and told me to take some pedals instead.
I wanted my guitar, and felt stolen and scammed, but too shy to complain, and took a few pedals to match what I had already put down.
But I always just wanted my G&L . . .
You, see, the way I heard it, Leo Fender, the one who started it all with the Strat and the Tele, he got tossed when some major corporation took over his little guitar company, and cheapened his guitars, real cheesey.
So he went out and started G&L and IMPROVED his already great classic electric guitars.
Like putting a whammy bar system in here which RETURNS TO TUNE AND TO PITCH.
Instead of finding the strings all over the place when you return from that shimmy, all the strings are still in tune, together, and on pitch.
I find all of the necks on electric guitars TOO THIN
except this one.
I am used to playing classic nylon string guitars, usually Yamahas like the Yamaha C40 Full Size Nylon-String Classical Guitar, although not that model, and electric stuff feels way too thin. I have to watch where I am putting my fingers and where I am plucking on an electric neck.
Not on this neck, which feels thicker than other electrics, which to me need pixie fingers to play.
This neck is very solid and will not warp, not on its own anyway.
The frets are really thick and solid too, not cheap, and the machine heads are really solid.
This box gest the job done, all around. The body is so heavy you might wnat to sit down, which helps gives it the solid sound and long sustain.
It is the highest point of a lost civilization which never really came into being.
Need a strat, for ANY reason (and who doesn't, really?)
Have a hidden guitar hero you really love and want to make whole?
get this.
and it is Deep Blue
for your deepest blues
mine too
at long last
long time coming
sweet guitar

Squier by Fender Deluxe Strat Hot Rails, Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been playing for over 15 years and I started off with an original 1982 Fenders Strat American Standard. Is this axe on par with the original? In my opinion, absolutely!
Right of the box the intonation acceptable, the low E and A is a bit sharp, but barely. The pick up hieght needed to be adjusted. String hieght needed to be raised (I play with .012-.052). These adjustments are common with "new" guitars.
The tone is unbelieveable, I was amazed on how well each note rang out, I was plugged straight into a line 6 35w spider 12in. The pick-ups have such a strong output that when I plugged into my cheap zoom 505 I had to adjust the settings because it was overdriving the unit, my current guitar is a Samick Greg Bennett design HSS, this guitar blows that one out of the water. The tone is absolutely amazing.
This guitar is somewhat heavy feeling for a squire, it does not feel cheap, for an idonesian made guitar it feels like it's worth 5x more. I truely recommend this guitar to anyone, novice or pro. The only difference between this and my '82 Fender is the lack of the micro tilt neck on the squire.

G&L Tribute Legacy HB Guitar (Natural Gloss, Hard Rock Rosewood Neck) Review

GandL Tribute Legacy HB Guitar (Natural Gloss, Hard Rock Rosewood Neck)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the first guitar I have ever bought sight unseen from the internet. The quality of the electronics are fantastic. the GL handwound pickups are miles ahead of any stock pickups I have ever played on. The PTB system lets you dial in many different sounds because of its adjustment range.
I get comments about how good this guitar looks every at every club I visit.
It is not a perfect guitar, however. Out of the box, the frets need sanding and polishing big time. Very gritty feel that eats up your high E and B strings from bends. There were a few small places on top where the poly gathered and probably dripped from as the guitar hung to dry..only seen by me, cause I know where this spot is. Also, my input jack has become loose. An easy fix, but these little annoyances should have been dealt with at the factory.
Sound and tone-wise, it is great. All the strat quack you want. Splittable humbucker in the back really gets it close to a slanted-back strat pickup.
Humbucker full on is great..plenty of growl and is able to do some serious rockin'. Great output and really pushes an amp hard vs the single coils.

I have been playing guitar for 21 years and I finally decided I wanted a strat. I read hundreds of reviews and watched tons of youtube vids of all styles because I always felt that the American Fenders were over priced (and they are). I had always heard good things about G&L and I bought this bad boy sight unseen. It is now my go to guitar. I love everything about it. I love the neck, even though it is quite different from Fender, because it is really wide all the way to the nut and it is not as thick. This thing plays better than any American strat I have played and at a fraction of the cost. Do yourself a favor if you are in the market for a strat and buy this mutha!!!

The Squier Classic Vibe line offers fantastic guitars for the price. My CV50s is just a gorgeous, well-crafted, great-playing and delicious-sounding Strat. really happy with this guitar, been playing over 20 years, starting to play other than hard rock, looking for a surf, blues sounding guitar
my other guitars have double hum buckers, this has a nice clean sound,
through a Roland amp, had to ajust the neck when i got it,but that seems to be the norm
with any guitar, the quality is good made in Indonesia, worth the extra money, for what you pay on a bullet strat made in China, better sound (Seymour Duncan pick ups)and nice fret board, finish looks nice, even extra spring packed with the allen wrench for the tremlo bar, I feel i got a really nice guitar for the buck.

A true icon guitar, the SG was originally a successor Les Paul model from '61 to '68. This edition of the prized 1962 SG boasts the power and merciless sustain you expect to shake you all night long. It's constructed of a Mahogany neck glued into a Mahogany body with twin Alnico Classic Humbucking pickups.

The Power and Merciless Sustain You Expect.

Angled Headstock Unlike cheaper designs, all Epiphones feature a 14-degree headstock that gives you more pressure at the nut and so you get more sustain with less tuning hang-ups caused by "string-tree" gadgets.
Double-Waxed Pickups Epiphone utilizes a double vacuum waxing process that ensures optimum performance. The pickup is first placed in the specialized wax vacuuming system before the cover is put in place to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the unit is completely saturated with wax.
Output Jack To increase reliability and ensure consistent performance, Epiphone's proprietary output jacks feature an improved contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel.
Toggle Switches All Epiphones feature our all-metal, USA designed switches for reliable contact and longer life.
Tunomatic Bridge Fully adjustable, the tunomatic remains a classic after over 50 years. Unlike guitars fitted with tremolos, there are no tuning or re-stringing difficulties. Plus, tone and sustain are improved because all string vibrations are transferred directly to the guitar.
Potentiometers Epiphone is passionate about performance. That's why their instruments use one-inch diameter potentiometers for better "throw," longer life and reliable service.
Quick-Connectors For unequalled reliability as well as ease of service, Epiphone wiring harnesses feature quick-connectors.

Fender Stratacoustic, Black Review

Fender Stratacoustic, Black
Average Reviews:

This is not Lorna, it's her son. I don't know where the previous reviewer got this guitar, but mine looks incredible! Not one problem with it. The only "downside" to this guitar is that if you want to play it acoustically, then it is relatively quieter than other acoustics. This is a good thing with me, though, because I like to sing while I play, and I have a quiet voice. It sounds amazing, especially in an amp, and the overall appearance is great! The built-in tuner is nice, too. Overall, get this guitar!
