(More customer reviews)This is first the AXL product that I've been disappointed in. The setup was poor including a bowed neck. I removed the bow and set intonation and action. Could not get the action to where it should be. Still playable but nowhere near where I expected it to be. Not a problem when playing the mellow stuff but your hands will quickly fatigue with faster riffs.
If you can get it for under $150 it's a reasonable deal. Much beyond that and I would consider other choices. Then again Chinese made products can be like that. You can get a great one but then the rest of the batch is sub-par. It's a roll of the dice.
A real positive are the pickups. The bass has a wonderful sound and a lot of punch. If the action were better it would be a real winner.
