I heard that and immediately thought of my cousin's 9 yo daughter Meganne. I sent Meganne the La Guitara CD & asked her if she'd like to learn to make that kind of music. Meganne is now the proud owner of a powder pink Pixie acoustic. The reduced girth of the neck is perfect for a girl's hand. Daisy Rock offers the Pixie alone or as part of a starter pack; I chose the latter option. My whole family is quite pleased with Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.

It's perfect because I can fit my fingers around it and the strings are closer to the fretbored so my fingers don't hurt after I play. If I can just play it all day and all night, I would. I play it everytime I take a break from doing my school work since I am a home school. I love my guitar so much. It is beautiful and easy to play. When My Daisy Rock Guitar arrived, my mind immediately associated the bubble gum / pepto pink color with a toy. I had wanted a real guitar, not a child's instrument.
Well, I got a real guitar and more. After just 5 minutes of haphazard strumming I realized I had gotten my money's worth. This is a quality instrument with great sound. The built-in tuner is a real plus for novices like me. I'll be able to play this guitar for years to come.
I did have concerns about the smaller size - as I'm a 6' tall athlete and women's gear is always too small for me. But the adjustments for women to this guitar are just fantastic.
I'm thrilled with the purchase, LOVE the color, and would recommend this guitar to new and experience players.

(More customer reviews)Aesthetically super-cool, but most importantly, the sound is excellent. I've tried out a number of acoustic guitars over the years and am rarely completely won over -- one's too tinny; one's too booming, etc. I was really impressed with a Daisy Rock model's sound a while back, but the look wasn't quite right for me. Then comes the glittery Pixie and, being a child of the '80s, I had to have it!
I tried one in a store to make sure I liked the sound, but wound up buying it through Amazon vendor ZoZo Music (who shipped promptly and is just fab) to get the best price.
As advertised, the smaller neck and lighter weight make it ideal for females. (Not just "girls," but perhaps girls at heart!)
It's fantastic -- get it and rock on!
