Schecter Blackjack ATX C1 FR Electric Guitar (Aged Black Satin, wth Floyd Rose) Review

Schecter Blackjack ATX C1 FR Electric Guitar (Aged Black Satin, wth Floyd Rose)

I just got this guitar yesterday. I own an Ibanez Prestige and a Gibson Les Paul.
Both awesome guitars (obviously).
So I decided to buy a decent less expensive guitar to set of for strictly Drop C tuning.
I got more than I bargained for!
Withe the Duncans and a neck that blew me away. And you want sustain??? This guitar has
almost as much as my Paul.
Cam set up perfectly from factory.
I am sold! Schecter makes a very nice quality guitar at a price you would have a tough time
matching (in this price range)

Schecter Damien-FR Electric Guitar (Satin Black, Left Handed) Review

Schecter Damien-FR Electric Guitar (Satin Black, Left Handed)

I ordered this guitar on the 18th, picked Super Saver Shipping (5-9 days, free) and received it in 2 days. Any lefty guitar player knows how hard it is to find a good guitar. Unexpectedly, it turns out that Amazon has a better selection than Musicians Friend and Guitar Center. The guitar is in fact left-handed, despite the picture of a right-handed guitar on the product page. It sounds great, the EMG pickups really offer a great crunch sound, and great clarity. The only slightly annoying thing is that it has a locking nut to keep the strings in tune when you use the whammy bar, so you have to loosen it to tune to drop d and back to standard. That's better than out of tune strings though, you'll love the price, look, feel and sound of this guitar.

Like works of art, each design is a work of art, individual, but still showing Schecter examples of quality in durability, playability, and of course, sound. The Damien FR is a beast of a guitar that uses EMG FH4 and H4 humbuckers on an arched Basswood body for the ultimate combination of tone and comfort.

I bought one of these guitars about 1/2 a year ago.from go it was great. all the electronics work great and all the hardware is really good. the volume doesnt go down with the coil tap. the only problem i had was the duncan "designed" pickups are a little muddy but i swapped them out for better, active pickups they are a EMG 81/81 combo. i dont know what you were talkin about in the other reveiw the only thing i could say is you got a bad one.

Schecter Omen Extreme-6 Electric Guitar (Trans Ocean Blue) Review

Schecter Omen Extreme-6 Electric Guitar (Trans Ocean Blue)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
So this is my first guitar, however I have done a lot of research because I want to have a guitar that will last me through the years as I become better. I went to Guitar Center first to test out different guitars with an experienced friend of mine. This guitar at the store is $100 more than at Amazon. I was originally looking at the Schecter Omen 6 (non-extreme) or the Laguna (entry model). However, when I found that I can get the Schecter Omen Extreme-6 at Amazon for the same price as the Omen 6 (non-extreme) I knew it would be a great deal. Throw in no tax and free 2-day Amazon Prime shipping on top...there's no way you can beat this deal! The guitar came in perfect condition...
What you get:
- Schecter Omen Extreme-6 (Trans Ocean Blue - which, by the way, looks awesome!)
- 12" instrument cable to plug into your amp (You may want to upgrade this)
- Documentation (Warranty, etc)5 Stars for both Schecter and Amazon...!

I have several 4000$+ guitars from Gibson, Fender, and PRS. This guitar sounds better than any of them. It sounds gorgeous, looks gorgeous, and is a dream to play. Get this guitar. You will not be disappointed.

One look at the C-1 Classic and you'll be ready to pick it up and play. With its gorgeous quilted maple and transparent finish, intricate abalone "vine of life" fretboard inlay, and classic chrome hardware it's a sight to behold. The sound won't spoil the magic either--premium hardware like Schecter's new locking tuners, a TonePros TOM bridge, a classic pair of tasty Seymour Duncan humbuckers, and a speedy rosewood fretboard make this beauty ready to deliver, whether you're a jazz cat or a raging rocker.

Built for Tone, With Looks to Match The C-1 Classic features neck-through-body design for massive tone and sustain, and Schecter's "Ultra Access" for hitting those high frets. With its mahogany body and quilted maple top (highlighted by the transparent finish), it looks just as good as it sounds.

The abalone "vine of life" completes the visual package, decorating the entire rosewood fretboard. The 25.5" scale maple/walnut neck boasts 24 jumbo frets and a crème binding, for playability and style.

Seymour Duncan Pickups In the bridge position is the SH-4, a hot-rodded humbucker that provides powerful output without losing highs. Great for everything from heavy blues to heavy metal.

The neck pickup is an SH-2n, which is a classic moderate output humbucker, with a full tone and a little extra sweetness in the treble region, great for fast runs and beyond.

Schecter takes advantage of the coil-tapping on both pickups with their 5-way mega-switch, allowing various combinations of single- and double-coil and series/parallel settings for a variety of tonal options.

Graph Tech "Tusq" Nut The precision Tusq nut is made with Graph Tech's "man made ivory," which couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and is impregnated with Teflon to improve the tuning performance of your guitar. Play as hard as you want, bend a few steps, and your strings glide back into tune. The highly resonant material also means you'll get more richness and harmonics from every note.

Dependable Hardware The TonePros Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru-body design means even more sustain and harmonics, and combined with Schecter's locking tuners gives you stable tuning and more control over your sound.

Hagstrom HB-4 Bass Guitar (4 String, Black Gloss) Review

Hagstrom HB-4 Bass Guitar (4 String, Black Gloss)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this based on magazine reviews and it sounded like a nice short scale bass, but I was disappointing with it. Out of the box it was setup poorly and had considerable buzzing. Also the top strap pin was poorly installed (poor workmanship).
It had a 6-way multi selector for the pickups, but I could not find a decent sound with any of the settings. And the pickups were noisy.
The packaging was also very poorly done and it had little protection during shipment (though it did arrive Ok).
I returned it since I just wasn't happy with the quality of it. It just seemed like it was poorer quality than I was expecting.

The Hagstrom Select Series, Vintage Series, and UltraLux Series guitars recapture the original glorious Hagstrom style. They are built to the same stringent quality standards and feature Hagstrom's exclusive technologies including the legendary H-Expander Truss Rod while introducing a number of new technological advances such as the Resinator Fretboard in order to guarantee that these are the finest guitars on the market. The Hagstrom Vintage Series HB-4 4-String Bass Guitar has the classic Hagstrom bass design. The HB-4 Bass Guitar features a 44mm Mahogany body and a Maple Bolt-on Neck with neck plate. The fingerboard is made from Resinator wood with Hagstrom 6mm Pearl Dot Position Marks. It is the perfect fingerboard material in that it eliminates wolf tones or hot spots, and it has a smooth, articulate sound. The H-Expander Truss Rod provides tension at either end and running the entire length of the neck, and the rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck, two factors that were instrumental in earning Hagstrom its reputation as the world's fastest playing guitar. The HB-4 has two Hagstrom Open H-Rail, Alnico 5 Bass Pickups. Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Electric Guitar (Gloss White) Review

Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Electric Guitar (Gloss White)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This guitar is great! I played guitar for 17 years and I tried many brands and models, and I can tell you that this one is something special. First of all, it is a beautiful instrument with a wonderful finish (especially for a korean guitar that are very variable on that point of view) it is very pretty and well designed.
It is important to know that I don't personally much like mahogany guitars neither rosewood fingerboards (I'm a Fender american stratocaster maple neck and ash body fan and owner) but this guitar changed my mind about both woods. The mahogany body is surprisingly light and the neck is fast and pleases the hand.
Now the pickups : Well here is the only black spot. These active EMGs and very nice and not as typed as much EMGs (usually I don't like this brand much, DiMarzio got my heart here). They are pretty versatile especially due to the coiltap system, but they are not as silent as told... These simply doesn't like computers and power supplies that can cause a lot of hum, this can be stressful sometimes. Except that, they are very nice, work well with the mahogany body (and neck) and don't make much noise with a guitar combo.
The playability is wonderful, great access to the 24 frets, the neck is just right pretty similar to my stratocaster's neck.
Overall, this is a light, very playable, great looking, nice sounding cheap guitar. Try it, it's worthy.

Schecter ZULU Electric Guitar Review

Schecter ZULU Electric Guitar
Average Reviews:

I bought this guitar recently, and I am highly impressed with it. Let me start by saying I am an active musician who has been playing for 22 years. I normally play metal in a band that plays at least 4 times a week, but I also enjoy a few other styles of music. Now, when I received this guitar, first thing is I was struck by the beauty of the design on this guitar. The artwork is great, but the playability is even better. I gave this guitar a music workover playing styles such as black/death metal, blues, rockabilly, surf rock, and even some classical style pieces, and it played excellent through every genre I threw at it. Excellent for lead or rythm. It hasnt slipped tune on me, no buzz in the frets, electronics all work great. This guitar is well worth the money. I highly recommend it to anyone.Schecter ZULU Electric Guitar

Washburn Idol Series WI18QTR Electric Guitar Review

Washburn Idol Series WI18QTR Electric Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am a beginner guitarist if I may say so. I am on the first page of the level 1 book :) I was initially looking for a guitar for my daughter when I found this. She wanted a strat looking guitar. She was pushing me to get into this with her and since the price was right ($157) I bought it. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition (no crushed box or any damage during shipment). As far as I can tell it was pretty well set up. My daughter's guitar it took almost a week to stay in tune, but this one was no issue. Since then I show it to a couple of friends and my guitar teacher. They all loved it and they just could not believe how much I paid for it.
Regarding the comment on the Buzz-Feiten system....I do not think this one has it...on the Washburn website they say all US made Washburns have it standard (this one was not made in US)....and also it should have the Buzz-Feiten logo applied on the back of the head. check out the pictures for the NEW WASHBURN PRO PREACHER ELECTRIC GUITAR+CASE and you'll see what I am talking about.
A couple of cons....it is red (looks better then in the picture) you'll have to dust it daily :). The other....I had a hard time to get a nice hard case for it. It is just a bit wider 0,25" here and there so will be snugg in most of the cases. Washburn apparently has a hard case for the idols the GC-40. I am in the process of getting one with the hope that all idol bodies are identical and no surprise....

First off, this guitar is amazing looking.I have the crimson red version. The guitar was setup with very low action on arrival. This makes playing alot easier if youre a shred type player.Getting used to the bigger fretboard on a 7-string was easier than i thought and i have average size hands. The inlays are a nice touch also. Now the reason i put ALMOST PERFECT!Reaching the 23rd and 24th fret is almost impossible unless you take your thumb off the back of the neck!Besides that you cant go wrong!

Schecter Damien Elite Electric Guitar - See Thru Black Review

Schecter Damien Elite Electric Guitar - See Thru Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had this guitar for about a month now, after replacing/upgrading from an Ibanez RG220 that died a few months ago. The EMG pickups are the most noticeable difference between my old Ibanez and the Schecter. They are extremely crisp and edgy compared to the more rounded-off tone of the Ibanez humbuckers that I was used to. The playability of the fretboard and set-up of the bridge is a big step up from my Ibanez as well. All-in-all, the Schecter Damien Elite is a top-value guitar for the $500 price point. If you're a metal guitarist, I encourage you to take it for a "test drive".

Schecter Damien Elite-7 FR Seven String Electric Guitar Left Handed Review

Schecter Damien Elite-7 FR Seven String Electric Guitar Left Handed
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bought this guitar a couple months ago and it was the best $600 I've spent...
Its very comfortable and not too heavy at all, the neck plays fast and the action is nice and low so there's not much needed effort to fret the strings. The EMG pickups are amazing, and when played a loud volumes, sounds extremely heavy and crunchy.
The Floyd Rose special system is amazing, I did all types of dive bombs whammy tricks and it never went the slightest out of tune.
This guitar is perfect for metal/hardcore music or anything heavy. I would highly recommend buying this, it's well worth the money.
PROS:
Great pickups
Great Floyd Rose system
Fast neck
Low action
Very comfortable
Stays in tune
Looks great
CONS:
Whammy bar feels a little far off the body (a little difficult to strum and hold whammy bar at the same time with pick hand)
Cutaway a little shallow (a little difficult to reach 24th fret on 1st 3 string, very difficult for last 3)
