(More customer reviews)I ordered this with the matching tube head a few months ago. This thing is SUPER bright and thick. It comes loaded with V30 speakers, and those things are SIIIICK. No wonder they are the best speakers around. I couldn't imagine anything sounding better than what I hear from this thing. Sounds really great from the tube head at 16 ohm, also from the POD plugged into the head, and also from a little Laney combo amp I've got lying around with an 8 ohm out. No matter what I plug into this thing, it just sounds great. I HIGHLY recommend this cab!

And then there are all the MIDI sounds that I didn't realize came with it, and I still haven't gotten to the bottom of all the features.
I like the way the often-used functions are laid out as buttons, that is a good design and a good implementation.

If you can't install the pick-ups, make sure you hire someone who can - our local music store was a little overwhelmed and broke the PA2 when trying to install it. EMG graciously replaced it for free. Be prepared for a lot of feedback - if you're not use to EMGs, you'll be bothered by the feedback. They work as advertised, but I don't think I'll buy another set of EMGs.

(More customer reviews)I have been using this unit for almost over a year now and I am very impressed. I play bass guitar for the Army band and our unit is currently deployed to Afghanistan. I got this head a month or so before we deployed and now that the deployment is almost over I can truly say this little head is for pros on the road! The structure itself is rugged and has put up with being dragged all around AF (not like that were an issue, it weighs next to nothing so it's easy to move and small too!). It has simple controls but they are authentic. 9 times our of 10 a bass amps' EQ has several bands, but it's still a weak EQ, this amps' three knobs and 3 switches (boost/cuts for highs&bass/mid) give you a full range to play around and the tone is pure bass. No filters, no loss of tone when the gain goes up. It will sound like your bass, maybe for the first time!
It also comes with varrying voltage capacity, which especially in Afghanistan (or on the road in general) comes in handy since you don't always know the levels you'll get when you show up for the next gig.
Overall, this head is a solid amp, it does the job and it does it darned well. Get yours today if you live on the road and play bass :)

I've owned it for about a month and it has exceeded my expectations. Others have pointed out disappointment in regards to the guitar's origin (Mexico).
