Washburn D10 Series Acoustic Electric Cutaway Guitar Review

I ordered this guitar as an upgrade to an older, starter Washburn guitar that I absolutely loved, though I probably should have taken better care of it. When I ordered this new guitar I didn't expect anything more than another great Washburn guitar.
Holy crap, I opened the box only to find that it came in an awesome hard case! Nowhere on the page when I ordered did it say it came with a case. It's a very nice, Washburn hard case, with a sweet felt or something inside. That was a very pleasant surprise indeed.
Aside from the case, this guitar also has a great built in pickup. I had to play a show the night I got the guitar and it sounded great. I did replace the strings with some better ones. The strings it came with sounded okay, just a little light and weak, especially when the guitar was plugged into an amp. With some new strings it sounded and played great.
The pickup has a great built in tuner. I've heard others saying the guitar doesn't stay in tune very well, though I haven't had that experience. I have kept it in it's case when I'm not playing it and like I said I put new strings on.
Overall, the action on the guitar is great. So smooth and easy to play. The build quality is way better than a lot of guitars that are way more expensive. The sound of the guitar is very full and rich. The case was a bonus.

BLACK ELECTRIC GUITAR Review

BLACK ELECTRIC GUITAR
Average Reviews:

I have one of these LI15 guitars. It was purchased in a packaged that was dented and bruised. Out of the box, the guitar had great action and horrible amplification. It took some electronic technician skills to remove a short in the guitar controls and two soldering flaws in the amp. Once done, this was a professional instrument. Its string action is better than guitars costing twice as much. My guess is that this is produced on the same line as the Washburn WI15.
Maybe the need for the extra work should have caused it to rate a lilttle less than 5 stars. But it's fixed and I feel as if I have a real bargain now.

I just purchased this guitar package and all I can say is BUY ONE AS SOON AS YOU CAN FIND ONE. This guitar should easily sell for at least $700.--BY ITSELF! The guitar has an on board WT-92 preamp-tuner(very accurate) along with a spruce top with mahagony sides and back and the detail work on it is simply OUTSTANDING!! You also get a padded Washburn gigbag along with several pics and guitar strap and an instructional cd. I own a couple of other really nice guitars but I can already tell I'll be playing this one more often than the others in the future. You can spend a lot more money and get a lot less guitar but why would you?

Washburn T24 - Natural Mahogany Bass Guitar with Deluxe Gigbag Review

Washburn T24 - Natural Mahogany Bass Guitar with Deluxe Gigbag
Average Reviews:

I began playing bass around two years ago. I've had my Washburn for about a year now, and can't say that I'm anything but happy with it.
While any bassist would dream of owning a $1000 Warwick or Fender, there's a point in such a dream when reality steps in and reminds one of the college loans that you'll have to begin paying off in the next few years.
I started playing bass with a sad little Rogue starter kit, figuring out the basics with a little bit of advanced technique. But the Rogue, which had extremely high action, poor materials used in construction, and shoddy electronics, can only do so much for the beginner. After a few months of persistent playing, I came to the conclusion that I needed a better bass. I started scouring the internet and local guitar shops for a reasonably priced bass that would allow me a little more freedom in my playing. I accidentally stumbled on the Washburn and fell in love almost instantly.
The beautiful wooden body is eye candy for anyone that wanders into my room and sees the bass sitting on its stand. It has a wonderful, smooth sound that can easily be tampered with to match all of my favorite artists. The Washburn isn't exactly a slap bass, but given some small adjustments it'll do. The thin neck is great for fast basslines, and the solid weight lets you know that you've got something serious hanging around your neck, not some cute toy. The neck-through design creates a noticeably longer sustain than other basses (some friends brought their basses over and we noticed a difference right away).
I'd say for anyone teaching themselves how to play, or looking for a comparatively low priced but quality bass, the Washburn is an excellent bass.

Purchased this guitar on e-bay got a great price was going to use it as a travel guitar but soon realized it was a very unique guitar with a very distinct sound all its own plus not to mention the looks. The build on this guitar is flawless a very clean and solid instrument with top quality all solid wood construction and top notch abalone work i can not say enough good things about the build quality of this guitar. The sound of this guitar is unique has a very dry sound like an archtop guitar but after you play it you really start to appriciate the sound this guitar produces. I find myself playing it more and more and have included it into my gigs for several songs and it has'nt dissapointed yet.

I just ordered this guitar for >$3k off the list price and now that there's only one left, it went back up to $2799. I'm still trying to figure out whether Amazon is brokering for US Music Corp (Washburn, Parker,....)and selling their remainders or if they are actually buying up lots and discounting them. Regardless, under $1k for a $3.7K-list custom shop Washburn is a great deal. I have some of the Dimebag V's Music123 cleared out a while ago and they are monsters of tone and playability. Probably got a bargain then because Dimebag went to Dean (before he was shot), just like Scott Ian is over in the Jackson camp now.

This is an amazing guitar for this price range. It has a wonderful, deep, rich sound that is especially good for fingerpicking but also sounds great when strummed. Grover tuners keep it right on the money. It has a 1.73 inch nut so the action is fast and smooth. PLUS it looks amazing. Quilted ash on the back and sides in addition to the butterfly, rosewood bridge and hopi fret markers etc. A great guitar at a great price with a sound that competes with guitars at much higher prices.

Washburn Timber Craft Series D52SWK Acoustic Guitar Review

Washburn Timber Craft Series D52SWK Acoustic Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the first Washburn that I have ever owned, and I am already a very convinced convert to the brand. I currently own a Yamaha acoustic guitar, a Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, and an Ovation acoustic electric guitar - the Washburn Timber Craft Series D52SW is quickly becoming my favorite to play!
TONE: The sound is full and vibrant. The very appealing tone no doubt has to do with its solid mahogany back and sides. Mahogany is known for producing a "bright, balanced tone that is darker than maple but brighter than rosewood." You don't have to strum very hard to create a fair amount of volume. Finally, the Buzz Feiten Tuning System (which is standard on all Washburn guitars) helps to correct intonation problems that other guitar brands might experience.
LOOK: The solid spruce top meshes well with the mahogany and is a timeless color that will always look great. The rosewood butterfly bridge adds some personality and matches the rosewood fingerboard. The classic coloring works well for young and old guitarists and is appropriate for any setting.
FEEL: The shape of the guitar makes for a very comfortable playing experience. It simply feels great. The strings are very easy to push against the fingerboard (as opposed to my Ovation) which means that you can play for longer periods of time without getting finger fatigue! Remember that developing callouses on your fingertips is crucial if you are a beginner or simply don't play very often.
PRICE: This guitar is clearly more expensive than your average acoustic guitar, so if you are looking for an average musical experience than this guitar is not for you. However, if you are willing to pay more for a guitar that will be much more enjoyable and rewarding for years and years to come, you will not be disappointed with this purchase.
Overall, this is an excellent buy for a reasonable price. You can't go wrong with a Washburn and the Timber Craft series is a cut above the Washburn WD and D10 series which I was also considering.

* I did not buy this guitar from Amazon. I bought the same exact guitar at my local music store.
I recently bought a Squire by Gibson to learn guitar on. After the first week on it, I brought it back to the store I bought it from and picked up this Washburn. Its a night and day difference. The Washburn sounds so nice, and the action is perfect. As a noob to the guitar, its hard enough to play with your developing fingertips. Unlike the Gibson, this one I am able to play even with sore fingers. I have already received some compliments on the guitar, and it has REALLY improved my learning curve and just plain old makes me smile when I play it.

Washburn Classical Series Acoustic Electric Cutaway Guitar Review

Washburn Classical Series Acoustic Electric Cutaway Guitar
Average Reviews:

I'm not a professional guitar player and never will be. Still, when I play, I want to sound as good as I can. I also want the option to be able to play as many types and styles of music as the mood may strike, so a nylon-stringed "classical" guitar is the best of all worlds for me. Add the desire to be able to plug in an amp along with working on a limited budget, and the field of instruments narrows quickly.

I couldn't be happier that my choice was the Washburn C64SCE. What a gorgeous, well-made guitar! After only a month, the guitar has opened up wonderfully, with a rich, clear tone. String action was nearly perfect out of the box. Tuning is remarkably precise, and it stays in tune better and longer than any other guitar I've owned. It's incredibly easy to be expressive on this guitar as it has a terrific volume range; no amp necessary.

This is the less-expensive brother of the C104SCE, which has a cedar top (instead of spruce) and rosewood back and sides (instead of the ovankol of the C64). Even though the woods of the C64 are less costly, the sound is amazing. The sustain is comparable to rosewood, but I think it projects even better with nice treble.

The electronics work well, and having a chromatic tuner built-in is a plus. The guitar is hefty and seems very solidly constructed. Fit and finish are better than I would've expected at the price point.
The hard case is sold separately. My research shows the proper case is the Washburn GC77, which has been sold out for several months but is available on back order through several of Amazon's partner sites.
